Throwaways: Japan island life

I love islands. I plan on retiring on an island some day. Being near the ocean is calming in a way that I did not properly understand or appreciate until I started working mainly in Tokyo again. So far, I’ve lived (as in longer than a year) on two islands in Japan, and have visited many of them. The island lifestyle is unique, and alluring.
